| The Sims Online is very
special to me. I first learned of its existence back in 5th grade,
around 2011. I traded one of my classmates my Sims 3 base game for
her Sims 1 Deluxe game. I don't remember exactly which deluxe
version it was, but I remember it had an ad for TSO on the back of
the case. (Image below) I tried to find it when I got home, but it had shut down a
few years prior. Since then I had dreamed of being able to experience what it was like to play. In 2017, I discovered FreeSO. I got some of my closest friends to make accounts and we have made countless memories in that game over the years. During the pandemic, my friends and I would do acid and then hang out together in our lot all night. Talking either on Discord or the in-game chat. We met so many interesting people. Like the guy who just pumped his fist over and over while saying "In Sync!". Or that one guy, Roman? I think? Roma? Idk. He would join and insult us and we would play around with him. I miss those times! We opened our lot, The Traphouse, the same year we joined. It went from a small humble home, to a HUGE WHORE HOUSE! You'll see in the screenshots. I am heartbroken that FreeSO died in late 2024. I am lucky that I was able to experience it for 7 years! |
